How To Become a Credit Union Member?

Joining a Credit Union is one of the best things anyone looking to get ahead could ever do. It’s easy. Anyone sixteen (16) years or over can become a member as long as they live or work or otherwise associated with the group of people served by that Credit Union.

Visit the credit union of your choice and complete a membership application and nomination form. To be accepted as a member your application must be approved by the credit union and you will need to purchase a minimum amount of shares.

If you are below the age of sixteen (16) you may save with a credit union, however the Co-operative Societies Law does not permit membership until you are that age.
