WINSTON FLETCHER

PRESIDENT

Mr. Fletcher has served on the Board of JCCUL for eight years. He is also serving on the Boards of CSS, CUFMC and QNET and is the current President of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions. He is employed as Director, Employment and Career Services of HEART Trust/ NTA. The President holds an MBA in International Business Management and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Management Studies.

LAMBERT JOHNSON

1ST VICE PRESIDENT

Mr. Johnson is currently the President of Gateway Credit Union but he has previously served as Assistant Secretary, Secretary and Vice President and also served on the Credit Union’s Credit Committee. Mr. Johnson is an attorney at law with over 16 years’ experience. He has extensive experience in litigation, conveyancing and commercial law.

ANDREA MESSAM

2ND VICE PRESIDENT

Mrs. Wilson-Messam has served on this Board since May 2014. Mrs. Wilson -Messam is a certified chartered accountant and has CPA certification. She is also the Director of Finance at the RJR Communications Group, a position she has held since 2009.

NORRIS GILBERT

TREASURER

Mr. Norris Gilbert became a director on JCCUL’s Board in May 2014. Mr. Gilbert is the Director of Financial Accounts at the Ministry of National Security and a part-time lecturer at Northern Caribbean University. He holds a Master of Science degree in accounting and a Bachelors of Business Administration degree.

PATRICK SMITH

ASSISTANT TREASURER

Mr. Smith joined the JCCUL’s board in 2015 but has served on the JTA Credit Union’s board since 1994. He holds a Post Graduate diploma in teaching from the University of the West Indies, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Alberta, Canada and a B.A (Hons.) and a M.Sc. from the University of the West Indies in History and Economics.

JERRY HAMILTON

SECRETARY

Mr. Hamilton is currently the President of Grace Credit Union. He is also the Credit/Customer Service Manager at Grace Foods & Services. He has to his credit an Executive MBA degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies.

BRENDA CUTHBERT

ASSIST. SECRETARY

Mrs. Cuthbert has given over twenty years’ professional service to commercial banking in the Caribbean. She currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Employers’ Federation. Mrs. Cuthbert has a Masters in Business Administration from NOVA Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s in Agriculture from the University of the West Indies where she was the first female Jamaican graduate.

CAROL ANGLIN

DIRECTOR

Mrs Anglin has volunteered on the Board of JCCUL since 2005 and served as Assistant Secretary, 2nd vice president before assuming her current position. She is also the President of COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union and has served in various capacities on that Board since 1995. Ms Anglin lecturers in Marketing at the University of Technology and manages her family business. She holds an MBA and a BSC degree in Commerce.

MARTIN BLACKWOOD

DIRECTOR

Mr. Martin Blackwood has been a Director on the League’s Board since May 2014. He has his early beginnings in the Credit Union Movement and is a past student of the NUCS Co-operative College. Mr. Blackwood is the General Manager of Portland Credit Union and the current President of the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union Managers Association. He holds a MBA, a B.Sc. in Professional Management, a Certificate in Co-operative Development and Management and a Teacher’s Diploma.

CARLTON BARCLAY

DIRECTOR

Mr. Carlton Barclay is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of C&WJ Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and a Fellow of the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountant.  He holds an MBA with the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. With over 25 years experience in the banking and finance industry, he has held several senior positions, including: Managing Director of Republic Bank (Cayman) Limited, General Manager of the National Building Society of Cayman (NBSC), Deputy General Manager of Jamaica National Building Society Group (JNBS) where he was employed for more than 15 years, during which he also served as the Building Society’s Financial Controller and Assistant General Manager. He was also the Financial Controller at Jamaica Citizens Bank (now Sagicor, formerly RBTT) as well as at Advantage General Insurance Company (formerly UGI) and, Accountant at KPMG Jamaica.

MICHAEL ANGLIN

DIRECTOR

Major Michael Anglin is a thirty-six (36) year veteran of the Jamaica Defence Force. He is currently a staff officer. Major Anglin has been decorated with the First Bar and Medal of Honour for Meritorious Service; First and Second Bars and Medal of Honour for Long Service and Good Conduct; Medal of Honour for General Service, and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. He is the holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management, a diploma in Supervisory Management Studies and certificates in Paralegal Training, Media Relations, Supervisory Management and Training Technique. He has been offering himself as a volunteer with JDF Co-operative Credit Union since 1998 and has been serving on the Board of Directors since 2000, holding the offices of Board Secretary, Vice President and President. He is currently serving as the President of JDF Co-operative Credit Union.

O’NEIL GRANT

DIRECTOR

Mr. O’Neil Grant has been serving on the Board of JCCUL since May 2014 and is the 2nd Vice Chairman of First Heritage Credit Union. He previously served as Secretary and Vice President of the former GSB Credit Union. Mr. Grant is a financial analyst in the public service sector and has been in accounting and auditing for 25 years. He is currently the President of the Jamaica Civil Service Association (JCSA). He holds an Executive MBA and a post graduate diploma in General Management as well as training in Legal administration.

RYAN MUIR

DIRECTOR

Mr. Muir has served on the Lascelles Employees and Partners Co-operative Credit Union (LEPCCU) board since 2005. He currently serves as Director of the LEPCCU board. Mr. Muir holds a Masters in Business from the University of the West Indies, Mona and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University. He currently serves as the Global IT Applications Maintenance Manager at Campari.

MAXINE WILSON

DIRECTOR

Ms. Wilson is a certified Operational Risk Professional and has more than 30 years of professional experience in general management, credit management, delinquency control, project management, marketing, financial counselling and strategic planning. She is currently the General Manager of Palisadoes Co-operative Credit Union. Ms. Wilson holds an MBA from the University of New Orleans, and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of Technology Jamaica. 

MAURICE BOLT

DIRECTOR

Mr. Maurice Bolt has over 20 years of experience in various aspects of system design, development and implementation skewed towards the re-engineering of the business processes. He serves on the IT committee of Lascelles Employees and Partners Co-operative Credit Union (LCCU). He is also the general manager of Technology and Operations at IronRock Insurance Company.
