In 1996, the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) permitted the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League Ltd. to register the HANDS & GLOBE design mark for use by credit unions in Jamaica. This design mark is not owned by any singular credit union; it represents affiliation with the credit union movement.
The Credit Unions of Jamaica brand was designed to include the HANDS & GLOBE mark to certify the affiliation of all credit unions operating in Jamaica with the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League. It demonstrates the credit unions’ continuous commitment to member service and social responsibility locally, thereby adding to the overall credit union’s value across the globe in 118 countries.
