This annual scholarship supports second-year students in three-year programmes or third-year students in four-year programmes at accredited Jamaican tertiary institutions, pursuing degrees in Management Studies, Human Resources, Accounting, Economics, or other business-related fields.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should:
- Be of Jamaican nationality
- Be entering their second year of study at an accredited Jamaican tertiary institution and enrolled full-time in a three-year tertiary programme or
- Be entering their third year of study at an accredited Jamaican tertiary institution and enrolled full-time in a four-year tertiary programme.
- Have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or better.
- Be involved in club(s)/association(s) that are civic-minded or charitable.
- Be interested in the principles of self-help.
- Have some knowledge of credit unions and co-operative philosophy.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The scholarship is valid for one-year only and covers only the cost of tuition and books, up to a maximum of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00).
- Payment is made over two semesters. The first portion will be pre-semester one and the second payment is conditional on the maintenance of a GPA of 3.50 or higher
- The scholarship is not renewable. The funds will not be carried over into another year, nor will it be made available for re-sits.
- You are also expected to continue full-time studies and maintain good conduct during the period of the scholarship, for which will be publicized on our social media pages, website and event content.
- As an awardee of a Credit Union Scholarship, you are a Credit Union Ambassador which includes, but is not limited to, participating in national events and community outreach.
- You are also required to make yourself available for promotional youth marketing activities.
- You are also required to carry out 20 hours of voluntary/community service during the 2026-2027 school year. Verification necessary.
Candidates are ineligible for this scholarship if:
- They are already a recipient of a tertiary award from any Credit Union for the same scholarship period.
- They are already a recipient of another tertiary scholarship or bursary from any institution for the same scholarship period.
- They are members of staff of the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League and its subsidiaries, the Board of Directors, members of the Supervisory or other committees. Their children are also ineligible.
- They are a recipient of the Glen Francis (Credit Union) Tertiary Scholarship Award
