The Credit Unions of Jamaica awarded seven (7) pep bursaries valued at $25,000 each to students from the Waricka Community.
The Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League (JCCUL, a co-operative central body embracing all the Credit Unions in the island, was conceptualized in July 1942 at the 2nd Convention of Credit Unions calling for the formation of a League. JCCUL’s constitution was adopted on February 22, 1943 and five (5) Credit Unions were registered as members.
