The unification of the Hanover and Montego Credit Unions gave birth to Gateway Co-operative Credit Union (2017) Limited on January 3, 2017. 

GatewayCCU is a member of the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League, the trade association representing the interests of Credit Unions in Jamaica.

ABOUT US

The Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League (JCCUL, a co-operative central body embracing all the Credit Unions in the island, was conceptualized in July 1942 at the 2nd Convention of Credit Unions calling for the formation of a League. JCCUL’s constitution was adopted on February 22, 1943 and five (5) Credit Unions were registered as members.
